Hit the Winter Trails for a Snowshoe Hike

One of our favorite early season activities in the Truckee-Tahoe region is snowshoeing. It’s a great way to get out and enjoy the new snow without banging up your skis! It’s perfect for anyone who enjoys summer hiking. It’s a non technical sport, making it the perfect winter activity for a family that wants to get outside. Rent a pair of snowshoes or purchase them in-store at Tahoe Mountain Sports.

Ask about our favorite snowshoeing spots when you stop by Tahoe Mountain Sports. There are endless winter trails, including your backyard! The beauty of setting out on snow is that the trail is wherever you decide to wander. Need suggestions? Check out this post, Best Places to Go Snowshoeing in Truckee and Lake Tahoe.

Get in the Holiday Spirit

This year will be a little different when it comes to holiday celebrations. Most events have been canceled which means it’s time to make your own holiday magic! And the best place for that is Historic Downtown Truckee. Head there to experience the town all lit up as a winter wonderland. With snow on the ground, a stroll through downtown at night is a one of a kind experience! This year, you can watch the virtual tree lighting from home on November 20th at 5:15 pm.

This year, we are giving extra thanks for our wonderful community of outdoor lovers. Thank you for your continued support throughout this pandemic. Be healthy and well!
