Hey backcountry skiers and riders, get ready for an evening of winter stoke! The Backcountry Film Festival is back and returns to Truckee this November. Come to watch the films and connect with Truckee and North Lake Tahoe’s backcountry snowsports community. Get excited for winter and pray for snow!

What

The Backcountry Film Festival is back, brought to you by Tahoe Mountain Sports, Tahoe Backcountry Alliance, and Alibi Ale Works! This festival is produced each year by the Winter Wildlands Alliance as a celebration of the human-powered experience and a gathering place for the backcountry snowsports community.

The 15th annual Backcountry Film Festival will tour 110+ cities from November 2019 through May 2020, reaching 22,000+ backcountry adventurers, and raising over $200,000 funds for local winter communities.

Funds raised stay in the local community to support human-powered recreation and conservation efforts, winter education and avalanche/safety programs and to raise awareness of winter management issues.
