The Alumninum crampon (KTS Alum) is a lightweight flexible crampon that is perfect for everything from glacier travel, adventure racing, peak bagging, and trail running to walking the dog. (shown in RED in picture)
The Kahtoola Traction System (KTS) fits over all types of common footwear —running shoes, hiking boots, snowboarding boots, ski boots, and more.
Straps and quick-release buckles on both the toe and collapsible heel pieces make the KTS easy to adjust.
Totally flexible and adjustable, thanks to Kahtoola's patented LeafSpring extender bar. The LeafSpring extender bar flexes naturally with all your footwear. Made from two layers of stainless spring steel, this innovation connects the toe and heel pieces, offering tool-free adjustment. See picture.

The Kahtoola Steel crapmon, or KTS Steel, has the same innovations as the KTS Alum but it’s designed to handle rockier terrain. The points are 1/4-inch longer and sharper than the aluminum model. I just received my Kahtoola Steel Crampons from you this morning, gave 'em the test on the 45-60 degree, 550 foot vertical gain, snow/ice covered, "cliff" in my back yard here in Colorado. Really, it actually is part of my actual back yard.
After 4 up/down cycles I can tell you these are it! Didn't even know I had them on, except that I climbed like Spiderman. Even my dog was amazed. Sure sorry it didn't come with the Kahtoola Bag. I thought it did when I bought them, but I re-read the description and sure enough, it doesn't.
None the less... great product AND EVEN BETTER SERVICE/SPEED/DELIVERY.
I thank you and highly recommend you. Looking forward to further business.
