I bought this jacket for skiing but wear it for everything from running on cold mornings to walking in the city. To test the jacket I stood on the shore of Lake Michigan watching a storm blow in with the wind just rippin (temp was 23 degrees) and did not feel cold! This jacket is a bit longer than the more traditional down jackets which means it covers my entire core and I stay warmer. Plus it's not super puffy so you don't look like the Michelin Man in it. I can't say enough how much I love this jacket - from the color (Tempest is COOL!) to the style and wind resistence - this jacket rocks!
