Bijou Disc Golf - South Lake Tahoe
The Bijou Disc Golf Course in South Lake Tahoe is beginner friendly, with enough challenge for seasoned players
Bijou Community Park features the oldest course in the Tahoe Basin and is a favorite of local experts and beginners alike. It offers a full 27 holes with something for players of all abilities. The first 9 holes play relatively short, with strategically placed trees providing the challenge. These holes are probably the best place for beginners in the entire Tahoe Basin. Holes 10 though 18 are a little longer and more challenging but are still relatively wide open. The final nine holes are the longest and most challenging, as well as the most scenic. Definitely make sure you have a good distance driver for these holes. Most of the underbrush has been cleared from all 27 holes, making finding wayward discs much easier than at most of the other courses. Bijou Park is very popular and can seem a bit crowded at times, as always be respectful of other players and let faster groups play through.
To get there, take Al Tahoe Boulevard east from Highway 50, by the Dennys. The park is a mile down on your left.
