Lightweight, great stretch, perfectly fitting, amazing jacket. I highly recomend this piece for that thinner, spring skiing, chilly night kind of jacket. It even has thumb holes.

The quality of my Clime jacket is superb every stitch, every zipper, every hem perfect and thought out. The clime jacket is a garment that sings!
It's perfect - I was looking for a soft-shell I could use for layering. I wanted it to be light, have pockets, and many venting options. I wanted the ultimate soft shell for U.L. hiking and while Mammut is primarily a climbing company, they had what I was looking for. The Clime has pit zips, zip hand warmer pockets, two way front zips, and thumb loops. I LOVE THIS JACKET! I have tried many and sent most back as quickly as they came either because quality was an issue or they just turned you into a sweat box. The Clime is about 12oz and it's so versatile. It keeps me warm and "IT BREATHES BABY IT BREATHES!" I can't imagine myself without it any more. I wear it hiking and to the grocery store. The styling is superb. Mammut is my new go to company. Please don't spread the word to the backpacking light community - I'd hate to see Mammut go the way of The North Face wannabees out there.
Thank you Mammut for one of the most versatile, and favorite items I wear
For those that wonder about size I'm 5'9.5 and 150 -155lbs and the medium is a perfect fit - and yes I'm very finicky!
I think the Clime may be discontinued - as it's no longer on Mammuts site - my advice get one you wont find a jacket of this quality with so much versatility anywhere else.

I bought this a week ago and spent the last two days biking in wet, chilly & windy weather. I previously owned a North Face Summit Series flight jacket (too flimsly for outdoors activity-strictly for urban wear) and a NF Summit Series Gore-WindStopper zip cardigan (heavy and not breathable at all). I used those for about 3 months last winter/spring and their quality and function were nothing compared to the Mammut Clime.
The first thing I noticed is that the Clime was light. In fact the brand and sales tags were heavier than the jacket. I like that.
The clime also comes replete with pits zips, two full-size pockets, a full 3-4 inch wind collar, dual zips, and extra material at elbows and shoulders for durabilty. It also covers my butt and hips if needed. Most lightweight softshells from other top brands are rarely this complete in functions.
And I've tried on a bunch of softshells while shopping around and this one was noticably lighter, had the best fitting cut for an athletic build, and all the classic alpine mountaineering functions found on serious expedition gear. I also found the Clime to be very wind and weather proof as an active shell in the 30-70 F degrees range. I had no problems at all and if it gets colder it still is roomy to fit a fleece sweater underneath. It it rains or snows a hardshell can quickly go over and you will not overheat or feel too bulked up.
My only cons are the outer color and the outer fabric; I got the pumpkin color and it seems like the fabric in that color picks up dirt easily around the hem and cuffs. Get the black color if you can. Also Mammut's cuts are on the small size and their L fits like an American M. So be prepared to size up.
In general, Mammut's products have shown to have great quality and the most creative & original designs I've seen in a long time. I also own an ice climbing pack, a gore-tex expedition jacket and some climbing equipment by that brand and I've been more than happy.
A final note: This is NOT A WATERPROOF jacket! I don't know what that other reviewer was thinking.
Gore-WindStopper does not imply waterproof! And the jacket does not claim to be waterproof. In my experiences, it is a great water resistant jacket...but not waterproof.
I recommend this jacket and mammut products for consumers that want the quality of real outdoor-active equipment and not the commercial bulk/junk that North Face and other top brands have been spewing out lately.
